Women’s Ministry

W.I.C. (Women In the Church)

The purpose of the Women In the Church is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world.

The framework of the Women In the Church ministry provides an opportunity for each woman to discern and exercise her gifts and abilities to the glory of God in the total work and worship of the church.

The goal is that this purpose will become a reality as women are given opportunities to respond to the Gospel and to pray, study the Scriptures, fellowship and serve the Lord together.

Ladies Bible Studies

Sheila Theune is hosting various studies on Wednedays from 9:30-11:30am at the church.  Childcare will be provided.  We are now doing “One in a Million: Journey to Your Promised Land”, by Priscilla Shirer.  Materials are $13.  Contact Sheila Theune at 692-8458 or sheilatheune@usa.net for more information.

Lorraine Buracker teaches her Ladies Bible Study on the book of Philippians on Thursday mornings at 9:30am at the church.  There is no homework, and each lesson stands alone.  Childcare will be offered on a reservation basis by notifying the church office or Lorraine by Tuesday of the same week as the Bible Study.  Please contact Lorraine Buracker by email or by phone at (910) 245-3200 if you are interested in participating.

Ladies Book Club

The Ladies Book Club meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the church at 6:30pm.  All are invited to be a part of this club!  In February, we are reading “Scarlet Thread” by Francine Rivers, and will meet to discuss it Monday, February 22nd.
