At Sandhills, we take worship seriously. We seek to enter into the awe, reverence, and majesty of being in the very presence of God through our worship. Hebrews 12 tells us that when we gather as a community of believers for worship on the Lord’s Day, we are entering into the very presence of God. At Sandhills, we believe it.
Having been called to worship in the presence of God, we respond as the prophets did, by confessing our sinfulness before Him. Forgiven, we thank God by lifting up voices of praise to Him, and then worship God through our giving. But God doesn’t stop there, He talks back to us through His servant and the preaching of His Word. On the first Sunday morning of the month, we commune with Him and His people at the Lord’s Supper, and again on the third Sunday evening of the month. We depart from worship and into the world around us, prepared to live our lives as Christians and to spread the Gospel through our words and deeds because He has put His blessing upon us.
